A finer distinction is the insight that comes to domestic abuse survivors as they recognize battering and identify intimate partner violence.
I believe that this awareness/insight is the first step to healing. And I’d even go as far to say, it’s the biggest step! (more…)

People have asked how I make the distinction between insights that go into the “healing” verses the “abuse” insights categories.
Very simple or shall I say subtle. Anything that involves personal vision or forward movement from abuse to personal honoring, dignity and respect goes into the healing category.
